NEIGHBORHOODS: South Beach

San Francisco’s South Beach neighborhood offers some of the best weather in San Francisco; access to the waterfront and the financial district; and amazing views of San Francisco Bay. This mixed-use neighborhood is defined by its tree-lined Embarcadero, which runs along the Bay and is dotted with piers. Two cultural focal points anchor the neighborhood: the recently renovated Ferry Building, home to upscale restaurants and the country’s best farmer’s market, and the wildly popular AT&T Park, home of the San Francisco Giants baseball team.

Due to its proximity to downtown and several upscale condominium residences, the neighborhood boasts a wide array of destination restaurants, including Slanted Door, Boulevard, Epic, Waterbar, Palomino, Jack Falstaff, and Town Hall.

The neighborhood is home to more upscale condominium residences that any other area in the City, but the people who call this neighborhood home are diverse, ranging from professionals working in the financial district to techies who work in SOMA and Silicon Valley.
